Flax plants: what harakeke and Phormium cost in NZ

New Zealand flax is two species: harakeke (Phormium tenax), the big swamp flax, and wharariki or mountain flax (Phormium cookianum), smaller and drooping. Most flaxes sold in garden centres are named varieties of one or a cross of both, chosen for leaf colour and size. This page compares every flax listed by the nurseries we read, at every pot and bag size.
