How $/W, Eff %, W/m² and $/W/m² are worked out, and where the sizes come from

$/W is the cheapest NZ price per rated watt (per panel for multipacks). Eff % is rated watts ÷ panel area (that is what module efficiency means at STC); where only a stated figure exists it is used and marked, and where a listing's claim disagrees with its own dimensions by more than 1.5 points we show both. W/m² is rated watts per square metre of panel face, which is efficiency × 1,000. $/W/m² divides $/W by the panel area, so cheap-per-watt and compact ranks first. Size, efficiency and weight are read from the supplier's listing (feed text, then the listing page) and checked against the watts; 261 of 304 products here have a size, 7 inherited from another listing of the same brand and wattage (*), 17 derived from a stated module efficiency (†), 27 from the manufacturer's datasheet for the model number on the listing (‡).
